The course involves course work, laboratories and clinical practice over four years and is offered on a full-time basis only. Students are required to complete all of the subjects listed in the course structure and are normally expected to complete all of one year's work before enrolling in a later-year subject. In each year, the pharmacy subjects are usually co-requisites for each other and so sequencing of units is essential. Foundation year science and pharmacy subjects are prerequisites for subsequent study in later years. Students are required to reach a satisfactory standard in both the theoretical, technical, written, practical and clinical components of all pharmacy subjects in the course.
