This course meets Australian Qualifications Framework standards.
There are no formal entry requirements for entry to the Certificate III in Dental Assisting. This qualification must be completed before moving onto the Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Dental Radiography).
Special conditions for this course
For mandatory work placement (350 hours, including an initial 50 hours completed in simulation), you must have access to a dental practice and a qualified supervisor i.e. a person who holds a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or a higher relevant qualification.
To complete the Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Dental Radiography) (HLT45021) you will need further access to a dental practice with relevant equipment, patients and staff to complete practical activities. During these placement activities, students must have access to a suitable qualified supervisor i.e. a person who holds a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting or higher relevant qualification.
