This program combines theoretical and scientific knowledge with practical learning. Throughout their studies in medical radiation science, students will have access to the latest technologies in radiation therapy, including patient treatment labs on campus. Students develop essential clinical skills, patient communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team with the following theoretical knowledge: anatomy; behavioural science; clinical methods; imaging and treatment technologies; oncology; physiology and research. This program involves the learning of professional radiation therapy knowledge and skills underpinned by relevant biomedical and behavioural sciences. Students will complete substantial supervised clinical practice in several settings both locally and nationally as part of the program.
