Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mining)

This program in mining engineering is concerned with the planning, design, operation and management and sustainability of mines. Mining engineers are responsible for the safe, economic and environmentally sound extraction of minerals and resources. A world-class virtual reality (VR) theatre is used as part of learning and teaching in the School of Mining Engineering, with field trips and industrial training an important part of the curriculum. The School is a founding member of a national consortium (MEA) delivering a common program of courses in Years 3 and 4 between the member institutions.
