This program combines key elements of studies in criminology, justice and criminal law to provide a 360 degree view of the criminal justice system and how it all fits together. Introductory subjects provide an understanding of legal institutions and processes as well as crime and the criminal mind. Advanced courses ensure a solid grounding in current socio-legal issues and crime-related problems. Students will develop strong analytical skills and be given a grounding in relevant ethical issues. Courses explore issues in crime and justice; applied crime prevention; as well as issues in policing, corrections and the criminal courts.
