Why study this course

This course prepares students for a career in professional photography through practical, theoretical and conceptual investigations. Students develop a broad range of capabilities relevant to the creative and commercial photographic industries. The first year enables students to gain a solid technical grounding in core photographic techniques, materials, concepts, theories and processes. In second year, students choose their studies from a diverse range of genres in professional photography. In the final year of the course, students are guided through their own independent study to develop their ideas and extend their skills within the area of photographic specialisation they have chosen. Graduates can work in a broad range of disciplines across the photographic and communication industries.
